This large set of laminated Japanese Chisels is made in Miki, Japan, known for it’s small forges turning out excellent tools. The back of each chisel is hollow ground for quick flattening. The hardness of the cutting edge is 62 on the Rockwell Scale, which is harder than the conventional western chisel. Once sharpened (we recommend the water stones for honing) the edge will last a long time. The handles are white oak with steel ferrules. A great set at a very reasonable price. |
